WHAT WE BELIEVE

Our Faith
Our Foundation

Our beliefs are rooted in the truth of God’s Word. We follow Jesus Christ, trust the Bible as our guide, and seek to live out our faith in practical ways every day. Our mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus, helping them experience God’s love, grace, and purpose.

At Vienna First Baptist Church, the word Gospel is central to everything we believe and teach. It is the most important truth we can know and experience. The Gospel is not just a message for non-Christians; it is for all believers. Mature Christians don’t move past the Gospel—they move deeper into it. It is the lens through which we view theology, ministry, and life.

The Apostle Paul defined the gospel clearly in 1 Corinthians 15:3-5:

"Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve."

Simply put, the gospel is about Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection—and the implications it has for us today.

We are real people infused with dynamic faith, committed to a common vision, joined together in the covenant love of our Creator. We welcome everyone to come as they are to the feet of Jesus, knowing He can transform any broken heart. Our gatherings are friendly and casual, but we prioritize God’s Word and give Him glory in all we do.

Ephesians 2:19-22:
"So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints… in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit."

We celebrate God’s undeserved redemption, amazing grace, and forgiveness. This truth inspires us to worship, humbled by the invitation to participate in God’s greatest cause.

Ephesians 4:15-16:
"…speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ… causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love."

We serve a good and perfect God whose dwelling is in all nations and whose vessels are our lives. We show compassion to all and encourage generosity of time, talent, and resources to spread the Word of God.

The heartbeat of our worship is to inspire people to encounter God. John 4:24 reminds us that God is seeking true, authentic worshipers. We aim to put Jesus at the center of our gatherings and foster a lifestyle of worship in daily life.
